Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu Poker Star

Daniel Negreanu Poker Meister

Daniel Negreanu is for me one of if not the best poker player around today. 2004 saw Daniel winning the Cardplayer Magazine's Tournament Player of the Year award and the World Series of Poker's Player of the Year award. Daniel Negeanu won tournaments 2004 that earned him over $4,400,000.

Daniel also likes to play $1000-2000 to the $4000-8000 poker games and plans on playing in the bigger game on more regular basis in the future. Daniel works hard at his game and we at pokernex think Daniel will go from strength to strength.

Daniel is a gregarious person that uses his chatter at the poker table as a tool to figure out his opponents. For Daniel the situation warrants the cards. He truly plays the player and not the cards and this along with all the other great poker players out there puts him above the rest of the ordinary poker players out there.

Daniel writes often for his own blog and can be quite outspoken. I think it is important to be like that because in the world of poker there are no fixed rules to how you should or should no play your cards. Especially when you are playing poker tournaments. Daniel always seems to have insatiable energy with whatever he does. For me I think Daniel Negreanu is addicted to the rush of poker more than just the money. For this reason Daniel seems to play better when there are high stakes and big pressure often not playing well when the pressure is off. I think you will find this to be a common trait in top poker players, where the money is only the small part of the poker mix. Not to say that Daniel doesn’t win a lot of money and like all players he can make mistakes. It’s just how you learn from them in poker.

Daniel Negreanu is a true poker fan and puts the game of poker first and his own game second. Hey and he’s going to make plenty of money from endorsements so I guess he also sees the bigger picture.

Daniel has some great World Series and World Poker Tour achievements including three WSOP bracelets, a 2004 Limit Holdem event, the 2003 SHOE event and the 1998 Pot Limit Holdem event. Daniels World Poker Tour Credits include first in the Borgata event 2004, third in the Pokerstars Carribean Adventure and the Party Poker Millions and first the Bellagio Five Diamond event.

I wish I could play cards like Daniel Negreanu, hey maybe one day I will.
