ESPN Poker Tour
So you’ve been watching ESPN and you’ve seen poker that’s changed your life, ESPN poker tour and particularly the biggest competition in the world, namely the World Series of Poker (WSOP) {link to WSOP}. It’s the biggest poker tournament in the world and it’s broadcast by ESPN. ESPN show’s a lot of sport but there’s probably nothing more exciting than watching player duel it out on the poker table in a game of wits and skills. The cool calculated stares are often the best part of the hands as players try to work each other out and ESPN does it best with the commentary and stats. Letting you know the odds and some of the mind games that are going on.
It’s all about stealing the pots and maximizing the opportunities dealt out to you when you are playing in the big events. The main table is the one with the pinhole cameras and this is where most of the TV coverage is focus on. ESPN also make the whole experience more enjoyable by showing the pro’s jostle with their chit chat trying to win some psychological position. This year the main event WSOP is starting on the 6 July 2005.
