Travel Channel Poker TV
What’s the travel channel got to do with poker, was the first thing I thought when I heard that the travel channel showed poker tournaments.
Well personally I don’t think Poker and travel have anything to do with each other but I know that they probably got into it for the same reasons most people get into things, Money! Yup poker travel channel is all about the money and why not?
People love the game and if you can find a vague association to making money then I’m all for it. So I’m all for the travel channel poker series and I hope more television houses get into the game so that we get to see more of the game you and me love so much.
The travel channel hosts the world series of poker (WSP){Link to WSP} and the WSP has a number of tournaments every year that get a lot of attention. This has to be good for the travel channel as people who aren’t even interested in travel are going to be putting eye balls on the channel and maybe become converts.
Maybe there will be converts from Travel to people playing poker too, either way you look at it the two subjects are not directly related and I think its only a matter of time before the WPT moves off the travel channel poker listings into a more appropriate channel like Fox or one of the other big entertainment sporting companies.
