Allen Cunningham WSOP
Allen Cunningham is one of the few poker pro's left at the World Series of Poker 2006.
So I figured I would do a bio on the poker professional.
Allen Cunningham (born March 28, 1977 in Riverside, California) is a professional poker player.
Cunningham studied civil engineering at UCLA. During college, he began playing poker at local Indian Casinos which promoted him to drop out of school to play poker professionally. He is a veteran of the poker game and is not like many of the online poker kids. He has been playing professionally for almost ten years. In general he likes to take a solid, analytical approach to his poker game.
He has recently been voted by his poker peers as the “Best Player under 35”. He is however a little camera shy and declines public appearances on occasion because of this.
He has earned four bracelets at the World Series of Poker:
* 2006 World Series of Poker No Limit Hold'em/w Rebuys
* 2005 World Series of Poker No Limit Hold 'em
* 2001 World Series of Poker Deuce to Seven Draw
* 2001 World Series of Poker Seven-card stud
He plays online at Full Tilt Poker under the handle "Allen Cunningham."
As of 2006, his total live tournament winnings are $4,600,000.
When not playing in tournaments or online, Cunningham plays in cash games. His games of choice are No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha and $300-$600 Mixed Games. He believes that one of the most important skills that a poker player can have is to remain in control of his emotions and not go on tilt.
