Chris "Jesus" Ferguson is the man that made cowboy hats in poker famous. When you first look at Chris on the poker table he looks a little scruffy but then again you could say he looks like “Jesus" with his long black hair and beard. Chris hides his emotions behind his black hat and dark shades.
Mr Ferguson is also a fairly brilliant poker player and is a key member in the Fulltilt poker team. Chris Ferguson has a long list of poker wins under his belt and now tends to only play in the larger buy-in events staying away from the poker tour. Chris has a doctorate in computer science so he’s not your average schmuck and also is involved in stock market trading and swing dancing. Chris Ferguson is married and resides in Pacific Palisades, California.
Chris Ferguson has won the Championship No Limit Holdem main event at the 2000 World Series of Poker. Chris likes the final table more than anywhere else and is a true competitor. Being so strong at the mathematics helps Chris make those critical decisions in tight competitions not to mention his extensive experience.
This experience includes five World Series of Poker titles, two of them in 2003. His titles are 2000 Seven Card Stud, 2001 Omaha High-Low, 2003 Mixed Games, 2003 Omaha High-Low, and the main event in 2000.
Chris has other finishes at the 2003 World Series of Poker were fourth in lowball, second in Pot Limit Holdem, and sixth in Omaha High. He also placed ninth in No Limit Holdem at the Legends of Poker at the Bicycle Casino and seventh in Omaha High-Low at the California State Poker Championship at the Commerce Casino.
