Hoyt Corkins

Hoyt Corkins Review

Hoyt "All In" Corkins

Hoyt Corkins the cowboy likes to keeps cattle at home, and the number of cattle is sure to grow as he plays on the poker tournament circuit.

Hoyt Corkins won the World Series of Poker 1992 Pot Limit Omaha event and then had a bit of a hiatus but has only recently begun playing major tournaments again.

Hoyt now concentrates on playing in the World Poker Tour (WPT) and World Series of Poker (WSOP) as far as poker tournaments are concerned. Hoyt Corkins enjoys No Limit Texas Holdem poker for the glamour game and not just the cash, which isn’t too bad either. If you would find yourself opposite Hoyt Corkins at a texas holdem table, you’d better watch out. There are very few players in the tournament circuit who have played as many poker hands as Corkins. In cash games, he also likes to play Pot Limit Omaha.

Hoyt Corkins took the lime light again in November 2003 by winning the Foxwoods World Poker Finals no limit holdem World Poker Tour event. The somewhat sore loser Phil Hellmut gave Hoyt the nickname: "Mr. All-In". Hoyt didn’t seem to mind the nickname and agreed he may have been a little lucky with the fall of his cards including a couple of river cards. Hoyt did say that Phil probably should have finished higher than third. Hoyt “All-In” Corkins aggressive style also managed to get him to another final table, at the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure. Hoyt has had his fair share of bad luck like all poker players out there losing to stars like Gus Hansen.

Hoyt wears his cowboy roots with pride and you can see hoyt corkins walking around with his cowboy hat. Hoyt Corkins is single and has two houses, one in Las Vegas and the other in Alabama.

Mr Hoyt “All in” Corkins is great for poker with his aggressive poker style, you can count yourself lucky if you get away from Hoyt Corkins on a one to one confrontation.
